A social media influencer from Darwen has broken his social media silence after deleting videos he made about Liam Payne. Max Balegde, who has 3.6million followers on TikTok, has received backlash on social media for videos he made, poking fun at the former One Direction singer, before his death.

He has since deleted all videos from his platforms. Max said he deleted the videos “out of respect”. He said it “didn’t feel right to leave those videos up” after Liam fell from his hotel balcony in Argentina.

Posting to social media for the first time in two weeks he said: “You might have noticed that I have been away from socials for a few days and I have had a lot of people ask me why I took down my videos about Liam Payne.
