THREE people have been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash involving a cop car. Two police officers and a man were injured following the road crash in west Belfast . A police vehicle and a car were involved in the collision in the Grosvenor Road area on Sunday.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Shortly after 3:50pm, it was reported that a police vehicle and a car were involved in the collision at the Grosvenor Road area. “Two officers, and the male driver of the other vehicle, have been taken to hospital for injuries which are not believed to be life threatening at this time.” They added: “Our enquiries to establish the circumstances of the collision are continuing, and we would appeal to any witnesses, or anyone who might have captured any dashcam or mobile phone footage, to get in touch.
“The number to call is 101, quoting reference number 1007 of 21/07/24.” Separately, business owners suffered heartbreak after a horror blaze destroyed a shop complex in Armagh. Devastated shop owners had to watch their hard work go up in smokes as a number of businesses and flat got fire on the Killylea Road in Armagh .
The business complex consists of a Chinese restaurant, a chipper, an off-licence, a tanning salon and several flats. Many flat owners and business staff were evacuated due to the fire, which has since been brought under control by the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service .
