Pune: Three members of a family, including a child, travelling on a motorcycle suffered injuries after a huge eucalyptus tree fell on them off NIBM Road in Kondhwa around 10.30am on Thursday. Three cars parked nearby on the premises of a housing society were also damaged in the incident.

"The four-wheelers were parked on the society premises. There was a small public road leading to NIBM Road. A couple and their child were travelling on their motorcycle when, all of a sudden, the eucalyptus tree fell.

" station fire officer Sameer Shaikh told TOI. The tree landed on the motorcycle as well as three cars, he said. "The local residents moved the injured people to a nearby hospital.

They three members of the family suffered minor injuries. We were informed that they were discharged later in the day," he added..
