The initial mass-breakdown saw around 8,000 flights cancelled or disrupted across the globe, including to and from the UK. But while businesses and services around the world were yesterday slowly recovering, the knock-on effects of cancellations and delays was still dragging on. As a result, thousands of Brits were left sleeping on airport floors over the weekend - both home and abroad - as the backlog of flights disruption was slowly dealt with.

Experts warned that it could take weeks for systems to fully recover - with more flight delays and cancellations expected in the coming days. function loadOvpScript(){let el=document.createElement('script');el.
