A pastry chef has transformed a Romsey venue's afternoon tea menu. Kimbridge Barn has revamped its afternoon tea experience under the creative direction of head chef Harry Nowell. The venue celebrated record-breaking figures this summer, serving more than 3,000 afternoon teas in 2024.
The new afternoon tea menu was introduced by Harry, who joined the team in December 2022. Harry has more than six years of experience and has brought a fresh perspective to the venue's menu. He has continually reimagined the afternoon tea selection, crafting all the items in-house, from pastries to unique cake displays for weddings and special events.
Harry said: "Since joining Kimbridge Barn, I’ve had the opportunity to solely focus on pastry and have the freedom to do what I wanted. I absolutely love the detailed nature of pastry making and being trusted creatively. "Being promoted to head chef has been a career highlight for me, and I’m proud of both my professional and personal development.
"I’ve been able to really turn around the number of covers we do. "I have exciting plans to develop the afternoon tea menus at our sister venues - Boathouse Swanwick and Boat House Chichester. "We hope to make this the best afternoon tea in the area.
