Rylan Clark opened up with a poignant admission about his split from former partner Dan Neal while on air on This Morning. Whilst co-hosting the popular ITV morning programme beside Josie Gibson, the conversation shifted to matrimonial topics. Their guest Gyles Brandreth shared memories of his own wedding to his wife Michele Brown, mentioning they had a very small ceremony at Marylebone Registry Office with just two guests.

As an image of a young Gyles with his "beautiful" spouse was displayed, Rylan joked, "That's the first time I've seen you not in a jumper!" Delving into the past, Gyles recounted, "8th of June 1968. That is me and Michelle outside Marylebone Registry Office. We had just two witnesses, just two people at our wedding a girlfriend of Michele's and my best friend from school , an actor called Simon Cadell.

You may remember him from Hi-de-Hi!" He added that the cost was a mere £5 for the license back then and noted nostalgically that one could even park right outside the registry office. Post-wedding, Gyles celebrated the occasion simply by having lunch with his friends, reports the Mirror . Reflecting on Gyles' simple nuptials, Rylan mused about his own potential future wedding saying: "I mean, if I was to ever do it again, I'd be like, 'I won't tell anyone, we'll just get someone round to the house'.
