This Morning star Joel Dommett was left red-faced on Friday’s show when hosting alongside Rochelle Humes. As Joel started to inform viewers about ITV ’s current competition, a warning alarm started to blare into the studio. The noise was to alert people watching that they were running out of time to enter, although Joel was taken aback.
He told Rochelle: “I’ve never had the noise before so I genuinely thought it was a fire alarm.” His confession left his co-star in hysterics as she burst out laughing over the mix-up. Looking peaky, Joel put a hand over his chest in a mocking gesture of despair.
The ITV star added: "Someone needs to warn me about these things! The noise tells us that we're coming to the end of our £90,000 giveaway." Rochelle reassured him there wasn't a fire as he replied: "Thank God!" Elsewhere in the show, Joel and Rochelle couldn't control their laughter as he made a crude joke. While going over back to school essentials, Joel confessed it made him want a daughter.
Looking into the camera, He said: "Hannah I'm coming home!" As Rochelle laughed, telling his wife to head out, the pair realised the direction the conversation was going and were unable to stop giggling. Embarrassed, Joel said he was sorry as she questioned if he forgot he was television. This Morning viewers have seen Rochelle and Joel front the programme this week as the regular host Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard enjoy their summer break.
