This Morning’s Alison Hammond was left slightly red-faced during Wednesday’s show as she was introducing one of the items coming up later on in the episode. Telling viewers the phone-in would involve The Speakman’s helping those get over summer phobias, she had a sudden realisation. Once Nik and Eva had informed people watching what they could help them with, Alison halted the show to make an admission before apologising to her guest.
She said: “Can I just say, I’ve still got your boots at my house! Literally, she stayed at my house and left her boots. “I keep meaning to bring them back, I’m so sorry, it’s just come to mind.” Although Eva didn’t seem too phased as she told her co-star: “It’s alright!” Dermot joked that Alison had tampered with her shoes, suggesting she’d planted roses in them.
Eva replied: “I was going to say! I bet you’ve planted something in my boots haven’t you?!” However, Alison chuckled over the accusations as the pair moved on to speaking about the latest headlines. Wednesday’s instalment saw a slightly different start to the show as the infamous theme tune was performed by three beatboxers. Known as The Beat Box Collective, the trio impressed Alison and Dermot as he called the modern version of the This Morning song the best version he’d heard.
Elsewhere, the two hosts had a go at beatboxing themselves as they were given a master class in the talent. Dermot also made his return to hosting duties after Joel Dommet.
