Australian-born Dr Scott, who moved to the UK after finding fame on Aussie TV's hit show Animal Hospital, badly injured his back days after celebrating his 49th birthday. Scott told his Instagram followers: 'I'm having a bit of a tough time. I've really injured my back and can't stand up at the moment.

Currently I'm in a lot of pain and have spent the night in A&E. 'The staff have been amazing, so attentive and kind as I received pain medication, examinations and soon an MRI for the worst back pain I've ever experienced in my life.
