The rebirth of the Miami River continues: A glamorous Mediterranean restaurant is now open at a new waterfront luxury development there. Casa Neos, the 30,000-square-foot Mediterranean-style destination from Riviera Dining Group that includes a private members-only beach club, a small boutique hotel and rooftop bar and restaurant, has opened Casa Neos Restaurant. The restaurant, which serves lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, is the creation of Chef Michael Michaelidis, head of culinary at Riviera and one of the chefs of Mila on Miami Beach, which earlier this year was named .

Michaelidis spent 12 years working for the international Robuchon Group, parent company of L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon and Le Jardinier, earning seven Michelin stars. Overall, restaurants in which he worked earned 26 stars, spanning the globe from Cannes and Monaco to Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo. The two-story Casa Neos Restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine, so expect plenty of fish and other seafood on the menu.

There’s a raw bar, too, and the menu offers plenty of mezze and appetizers like sea bass carpaccio, frito misto with calamari and prawns, and yellowfin tuna and crispy wagyu beef tartare. Guests can also order maki (sushi rolls) with snow crab, spicy yellowfin tuna and truffle hamachi ranging in price from $18 to $26. Entrees include Florida red snapper, branzino, Faroe Island salmon and grilled prawns.
