Shanavas is thrilled as his friends and relatives shower praise on his brand-new house built at Tirur in Malappuram, Kerala. The family wanted a minimal house that looked compact but with all the modern facilities in the interiors. A sloped roof in multiple layers that are paved with roofing tiles is the highlight of the elevation.

The house might look like a single-storey structure from the outside, but it, in fact, is a spacious two-storey building. Adding the perfect contrast, the laterite wall cladding breaks the monotony of the plain white hue. Meanwhile, the car porch has been built separately without marring the scintillating look of the elevation.

The spaces are lavishly arranged in the interiors that are vaster. Designed in 3400 sqft, this amazing abode has a car porch, sit-out, formal and family living area, dining space, courtyard, kitchen with an adjacent work area and two bedrooms on the ground floor. Meanwhile, there are three more bedrooms, a living area and balcony on the upper floor.

The interiors have been designed as public, semi-public and private zones. Beautiful passages are what connect these perfectly furnished areas. Moreover, the interiors boast of lavish supply of natural light and cool air.

The staircase is built by paving wooden planks on GI frame. Meanwhile, the glass hand railings add a chic designer quality to it. The courtyard with a pergola and glass ceiling is the family’s favourite spot in the house.
