1 2 Prayagraj: The Neta Nagar Barwari of Kydganj locality is constructing a unique Durga Puja pandal that will transport visitors to the prehistoric era of dinosaurs. Starting on Oct 9, the pandal themed on ‘ Dinosaur World ' will showcase the Amazon rainforest, the mighty Amazon River, and the diverse flora and fauna that once thrived in the region, including various species of dinosaurs and anaconda. Laxmikant Mahapatra, also known as Lucky Dada, a veteran artist with 30 years of experience in creating theme-based pandals, is leading a team of 15 artists from West Bengal in setting up the unique pandal.
They have been working tirelessly for the past two months to bring this unique concept to life. "We are showing the Amazon rainforest, the mighty Amazon river, and the rainforest along with the animals and reptiles that dominated the ecosystem. From various species of dinosaurs to anaconda and even Godzilla, the visitors will have a treat to watch when they visit this pandal," he said.
Mahapatra added that "The set up will be ready by Oct 8, the day when Maa Durga's idol will be brought to the pandal. We have taken special care to make the pandal eco-friendly and informative for the kids who arrive here," said Mahapatra. The materials used in the construction of the pandal have been sourced from various states, including Rajasthan, Karnataka, Telangana, Odisha, Assam, and West Bengal.
Visitors will enter the pandal through a cave where they will be greeted by a lush green .
