A thief has stolen thousands of pounds in valuable items from a home in Chelsea, including a number of handbags that are worth up to £26,000 each. The Metropolitan Police have said that on Sunday, July 20, two men broke into a house in Smith Street where they stole "a number of items." This included several Hermes Birkin bags, which are incredibly valuable.

These bags are virtually impossible to buy brand new, and often can only be purchased second hand. Even then, pre-loved Birkin bags can retail for up to around £26,000, or $35,000, depending on their condition, luxury auctioneers Sotheby's says . Now, the police have released an image of a man they want to speak to in relation to the robbery.
