Tamzin Outhwaite begged 'let's take our clothes off' to make The Wives sex scene 'real' (Image: Channel 5) Tamzin Outhwaite has revealed that she found filming intimate scenes for her new TV show, The Wives, to be a "liberating" experience, despite it being a while since she last filmed such scenes. The actress stars in the series alongside Jo Joyner and Angela Griffin, with the first episode airing on Monday, 16 September. In the show, Tamzin, 53, portrays Sylvie, a newly-divorced woman who relishes her freedom and single status, dating younger men.

The former EastEnders star, known for her role as Mel Owen, shared her experiences of working with an intimacy coordinator for certain scenes and why she enjoyed playing Sylvie. In an interview with The Sun's TV Mag, Tamzin said: "Well, it's been a long time since I've had to do anything like that. People don't ask women in their 40s and 50s to do that very often.

And to be honest, it was quite liberating, because obviously the whole point is that she's meant to be free." The actress, who isn't shy about such matters, found portraying Sylvie to be "really lovely". She also mentioned that this was her first time working with an intimacy coordinator, which she found to be "quite strange".
