Imagine being able to visit a real life Advent calendar, a place where you could knock on an actual door and step inside to discover a surprise festive treat inside? This beautiful Christmas tradition is actually a reality in the picturesque market town in Staffordshire . In the run-up to Christmas , Leek hosts a real life Advent calendar complete with storytellers, singers, dancers and drummers, theatrical encounters and twinkly light trails behind 24 of the town's doors. How it works is that every morning in December, the secret location of that day's door is revealed by organisers OUTSIDE on their website and social media channels.

Then, between 4pm and 6.30pm each evening, residents of the town and beyond are invited to find the real door and open it to discover what's inside. What's more, it's all free to enjoy.
