This initiative, known as Future Labs, is a collaborative effort spearheaded by the Department for Transport (DfT) and supported by official resources. Driving Innovation Through Collaboration: Southeastern, Northern, LNER, and TransPennine Express have joined forces to create Future Labs, a program designed to accelerate the development and implementation of cutting-edge solutions within the rail sector.

This program marks a first-of-its-kind initiative in the UK, fostering collaboration between established train operators and emerging tech companies. Empowering Startups to Shape the Future of Rail: Nine promising startups were chosen from a highly competitive pool of over 100 applicants.
