With Christmas only a few days away, the atmosphere of holiday cheer is abundant in numerous facets. There have been numerous events taking place to ring in this special time of year with light spectacles, themed theatrical productions and jovial concerts among others. An example of the latter is the “Holiday Pops”, which will be taking place on December 23 at The Stadium Theatre Performing Arts Centre & Conservatory located on 28 Monument Square in Woonsocket.

Starting at 7:30pm, the Stadium Theatre Orchestra will be performing classic tunes like “Sleigh Ride” and “Silent Night” among many others. It’s also an all ages show, so it’s ideal to bring the entire family to get a jump start on experiencing the joy and jubilation that comes with Christmas. The upcoming edition of the “Holiday Pops” is the second one while following up the success of last year’s debut installment.

The entire crew behind the production, ranging from the musicians to The Stadium’s staff, have been working arduously to make the concert a memorable one with numerous rehearsals and a conscious effort to make everything coalesce in seamless fashion. “It is quite an endeavor and we have all been working on producing this concert,” The Stadium’s Artistic Director Jennifer Webb says. “Typically when we do shows, we have multiple rehearsals throughout the week and for this particular performance, both the orchestra and the vocalists have been working together separately.
