A psychedelic portrait of Maryln Monroe made of concentric, multi-colored diamonds, graced one wall. A large painting of farmers harvesting sugar cane occupied a spot near the bar, the later of which was illuminated by bluish green lights. Bartenders and waiters were dressed in sharp black, busying themselves taking care of guests.

Pianist Leonard Tyson helped to set the atmosphere. Salad courses were served on gold hued chargers as guest chatted, including political and business notables. Owner Yorka Ralwins busied herself about the establishment, attending to various needs and talking with guests.

The menu was created by Executive Chef Sky Salazar, which included chicken and pork as the main courses. Wines were Charney, Pinot Noir, and Rosé. Trays of desserts were framed by thatch and streamers of plastic flowers, which included cheese cake, guava pie, chocolate thres leche, and rum raisin bread pudding.

When asked what was the most popular cocktail, one of the bartenders gave the Old Fashion and the One Night Stand. Toward the end of the night, another bartender gave the Gauva Mojito as either second or third. Salazar talked about preparing for the event.

“A little bit hectic.” She told how they had bee.
