The front garden of a Pembrokeshire property has been named as the best in Wales. Saundersfoot resident Joanna Balkwill’s green fingers have seen her create floral glory at the front of her home. “It’s a gem of a garden,” said Julie Davies, from the Saundersfoot in Bloom organisation.

“It's a fabulous garden with a diverse range of planting, a riot of colour and spectacular dahlias.” Joanna's garden features a riot of colour. And there were several blooming great reasons for Saundersfoot celebrsations at the recent Wales in Bloom awards ceremony in Abergavenny. As well as Joanna’s garden being named Best Front Garden; Saundersfoot once again was awarded Gold in the Large Village category and - in a lovely surprise - Wales in Bloom Champion certificates for Saundersfoot in Bloom members Julie Davies and Martyn Williams.
