Viewers were left disappointed two years ago when it was confirmed that the Christmas edition of the series called The Only Way Is Essexmas, was not returning to screens. Confirmation of last year's scheduling shake-up was made by the show's star Ella Rae Wise during an Instagram Q&A with fans. She shared with fans: "Unfortunately not this year.
" Ella then added a series of broken heart emojis, illustrating her sadness. The show has propelled the careers of a number of stars including Sam and Billie Faiers , Mark Wright , Pete Wicks , Gemma Collins and Joey Essex over the years. And now, it has been claimed that the series will be making a very festive return to our screens, with the episode being on air for 90 minutes and will feature the main cast.
An insider claimed: "The latest series of Towie has been a huge hit and there has been a lot of drama," with them adding that it 'made sense' to bring it back.
