A FASHION fan has been hailed for her “brilliant idea” after she revealed a simple trick to get her clothes to look designer - without spending a fortune. Alexis Nido-Russo took to TikTok to share her savvy fashion hack and her video has since gone viral with over 43,000 people liking it. The fashion fan, who always wanted a Chanel blazer but has never been able to afford one, showed how she transformed a red Zara 'blazer' into one that looks like a posh designer.
Alexis, who goes by the name of @ locaeclectic on TikTok, shared a video showing exactly how she did it. She captioned the video: “Manifesting a Chanel tweed blazer into my life.” Alexis first started off by talking about the red blazer that she found in Zara.
She said she “thought it was very cute, chic and gave Chanel vibes.” However, on closer inspection Alexis realised she wasn’t a fan of the buttons and they were “really cheap and flimsy.” So instead, she decided to head online and buy some vintage Chanel buttons.
Alexis said: “I’m going to replace these cheap buttons and I think it’s going to elevate the whole outfit. “I just thought it would actually give the blazer a really unique and cool look. “People will be like, ‘is she wearing Chanel? ’ and I will be like, ‘only the buttons.
’ “I’ve wanted a Chanel blazer for so long but they are so expensive. “It’s on my wish list, so in the meantime, I’m going to have this Zara blazer with Chanel buttons.” The video gain.
