Soon, travelers will no longer have to endure long wait times when booking their train tickets. In a bid to enhance the overall customer experience, IRCTC has announced plans to ramp up its ticketing capacity, ensuring passengers can book tickets quickly and efficiently without facing extended waiting periods.

Reports indicate that this capacity enhancement initiative is already underway, with a targeted completion date of March 2025. Once the process is finalized, train passengers will enjoy a seamless online ticket booking experience, with transactions being processed immediately upon accessing the IRCTC website. This upgrade will drastically reduce the time it takes for tickets to be issued, providing a smoother and more reliable service for commuters.

One of the primary goals of this initiative is to prevent issues where passengers’ money is deducted without tickets being issued, a problem that has been attributed to the system’s current capacity limitations. By increasing the ticketing capacity, IRCTC aims to better handle the high volume of online ticket bookings and eliminate these frustrating glitches.
