The Espresso Versilia debuted this week with the first of its two weekly services from Milan in northern Italy down to Livorno, nearly 300km away in Tuscany. The new route will bring tourists from the major financial hub to Genoa and along the Ligurian coast, passing through popular tourist destinations such as Cinque Terre.

Train operator Trenitalia boasted that the new service, which will remain in place throughout August into September, will serve some of Italy's "pearls" of seaside beauty. function loadOvpScript(){let el=document.createElement('script');el.
