The Great British Sewing Bee contestants start to panic Kiell Smith-Bynoe has become a familiar face on screens as the host of BBC ’s Great British Sewing Bee. The actor became the face of the competition series for season 10 after taking over the role in May from Sara Pascoe. Although she stepped down from the role to head on maternity leave , viewers have been impressed by Kiell’s presenting skills and shared their praise weekly on social media.
As well as starring on BBC , the 35-year-old first got his start on screen as an actor on various comedy shows including Ghosts , Stath Lets Flats, and Man Like Mobeen. However, fans have been eager to learn more about the star’s personal life which he intentionally keeps private. He briefly opened up about his upbringing and told iNews his mum was “very strict” after his uncles had run-ins with the law. Kiell explained: “My grandad went blind quite young, so my nan had to do the work for everyone. My nan worked hard.
My mum looked after the boys. “The boys rebelled against her because she was their sister playing the mum, and ended up going down paths that she didn't want me to go down.” Don't miss.
