The Chase star Paul Sinha has revealed he suffered two heart attacks at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe last August. Only a close circle of friends and family were aware of what happened and one of the attacks even involved a celebrity encounter. Sinha confessed he "should have taken a massive break" following the first incident.

Speaking to the Telegraph, he recalled: "I got this crushing, constricting chest pain, which from my medical experience seemed incredibly cardiac in origin. I'd got to the Pleasance [a theatre in Edinburgh], when I had a classic Fringe experience. "Someone recognised me from The Chase and demanded I meet his friend, Levi Roots.

" He then shook hands with the creator of Reggae Reggae Sauce, but "realised the pain wasn't getting any better". He was rushed to Edinburgh's Royal Infirmary where the pain eventually eased. After receiving treatment, he was discharged and continued to perform for another week and a half, making a conscious effort to "actively avoid hills".

Despite attracting rave reviews for his show, Pauly Bengali, Paul admits it took a significant mental and physical toll. In the show, he used hula-hooping as a way to downplay the impact of his Parkinson's disease, alongside singing and playing the piano. The TV personality then suffered a second heart attack, which led to a cardiologist identifying a "definitive cardiac event" and suggesting that his first episode was likely a minor attack.

Paul expressed his regret at not taking a significa.
