The Chase’s Mark Labbett has broken his silence on his split from his girlfriend Hayley Palmer after just over a year together. The popular Chase player, who goes by the nickname The Beast, split from TV presenter Hayley a few days after their one-year anniversary — with Hayley claiming that the break up was down to the fact that he didn’t want to divorce his ex-wife Katie. However, Mark has since offered a different perspective on the break up, saying that he and Hayley split simply because ‘I got old.

I joke I am a shed man – a guy of a certain age that’s quite content being in or out of a relationship – but loves to be spending time on their own. ‘It’s primal, I think it goes all the way back to the hunter-gatherers where the man would go off a lot of time on their own,’ he continued.
