Amazon Prime Video has commissioned a fourth spin-off of their blockbuster superhero drama The Boys, hot on the heels of its wildly successful fourth season. The series, which sees Billy Butcher (played by Karl Urban) and his team concocting yet another scheme to topple Homelander (Antony Starr), has drawn in millions of viewers this year, all eager for more action, plot twists and jaw-dropping moments. Despite only one more season of the main drama remaining, fans can still look forward to further episodes of Gen V and an upcoming spin-off set in Mexico.

The streaming giant has now confirmed that the franchise will continue to grow with a new prequel series set decades before Homelander's birth. Vought Rising will take us back to the 1950s and delve into the origin story of the world's superheroes, with crowd favourites Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash returning to their roles as Soldier Boy and Stormfront, reports the Express .
