The interior designer, 46, snapped the lavish property up with his husband Olivier Duvillard for a few million in 2015 and got stuck into renovations. Sitting just 400m from Australia's most renowned beach, the four-bedroom, four-bathroom house has undergone many transformations, reported Domain. Now a contemporary three-level home, Darren's property was once a single-level Californian bungalow before it received several updates.

When Darren purchased it in the mid 2010s, the home had already been risen to two-levels before the author forged ahead with his own renovation plans. Darren collaborated with architect John Deuchrass and construction company Taste Living to completely rebuild the home after he bought it. 'The poor old house has a lot to be improved upon.
