With the upcoming twentieth season of just a few weeks away from premiering, viewers have begun sharing their hopes and predictions for this year’s iteration of the renovation reality series. The new season will take place in Phillip Island with five teams of everyday Aussies transforming rundown holiday homes into luxury properties. Following last year’s drama-filled season - which involved plenty of screaming matches, strategic gameplay and awkward friendship break-ups - a majority of fans are hoping for a change of pace when the show returns to screens next month.

One person shared a post on Reddit this week predicting what the “drama levels” will be like this year, with plenty of people admitting they would like to see the series return to its roots for its milestone season. “I am yearning for old school, no drama ,” a fan wrote, followed by another who said, “Wishing for no drama, expecting drama, hoping to be surprised”. “I miss the old when they had challenges that were building related and the contestants actually did the work,” a third remarked.
