One particularly annoyed viewer took to to write, "Shelley is there to take the p**s and give crap designs hope so the judges can crap on something each week." They continued, "By Shelly telling house 4 to go ahead with a black bedroom because 'No one has ever seen a black bedroom so [they] don't know' That's crap advice.
Great for producers but poor advice. 'You have a vision stick with it' is more poor advice from Shelley because judging from the bathroom week their vision is terrible." During the show, Kylie and Brad's dark aesthetic was copping flack from the judges, but Shelley encouraged the pair to continue with their vision.
