Today, Sky dropped the first official full-length trailer, and a host of production pictures, of the hotly anticipated drama The Day of the Jackal. It stars Eddie Redmayne as lone assassin the Jackal who is being pursued by a British intelligence officer Bianca ( Lashana Lynch ).
If the action-packed trailer is anything to go by, Eddie, 42, has made a strong case for himself to become the next James Bond . In the trailer, Eddie as the Jackal is seen creating chaos and destruction, from setting off bombs to shootouts, at destinations across Europe including Paris. Meanwhile, Lashana’s character Bianca is seen getting increasingly frantic as she struggles to hunt down the Jackal before he strikes again.
On YouTube, fans have been clearing out their November schedules to watch The Day of the Jackal after watching the trailer. Among them is @kayell1010, who raved: ‘Looks thrilling. Competitive day up against Cross on Prime, Silo on Apple the next day, and Landman on Paramount a few days later.
