With just one week left of the school holidays many will be hoping to make the most of the final stretch of summer. Luckily, according to the Met Office, there are still warm and sunny days left before the autumn creeps in. The forecast service says Wales can expect to see highs of 23C in the coming week (from Tuesday, August 27), including at some of the country's most popular beaches.

Although many parts of Wales will see grey skies and showers on Tuesday, many areas can expect this to lift through the latter part of the week revealing a beautiful and sunny weekend. Cloud and rain, locally heavy, likely reaching western parts during the afternoon and turning breezy.

Maximum temperature 23C." The outlook for Wednesday to Friday reads: " A band of rain, locally heavy, will continue to slowly edge eastwards on Wednesday. Drier and brighter on Thursday and Friday with temperatures near average.
