For many this is the final weekend of the school summer holiday, so one final chance to get out and explore before dreaded homework is back on the cards. Adding to this, we hate to say it, but the evenings are noticeably drawing in earlier so take any chance you have to get outside with the family and enjoy the sunshine. Boarding a train at Waterloo it is only a 47 minute journey on a South Western Railway service through the beautiful Surrey Hills to arrive at Box Hill and Westhumble station where an incredibly pretty walk starts.

Leaving the station car park and turning right at the road begins the three and half mile moderate walk. The walk can be steep and challenging in parts but the amazing view are worth it if you can make it. The trail will take you from the village of Westhumble on a tour of the local countryside and then up Box Hill that famous for its unique flora.

The town's past and current religious history can be felt when walking through the town and past open fields filled with livestock. The main landmarks to view are two different chapels.

The path passes the gorgeous small Chapel of Ease Westhumble at the start Crabtree Lane. It’s grand wooden door, framed by its red brick exterior and humble garden outside, sits nex.
