Navigating London can be a bit of a nightmare. Often, getting from one side of the city to the other involves hopping on a bus, then a train, followed by the Tube, and finally another bus. When it comes to the Tube, there are some stations that are so close together, yet there's no straightforward way to get from one to the other quickly.

Most of the time, it's easier just to walk. Take Wood Lane and White City, for instance. These stations practically overlap at a junction between the Tube lines, but there's no direct train linking them.

Of course, you'd have to really want to avoid the three-minute walk between them. There are two ways to do it.

The first method involves fewer changes but takes significantly longer. Starting at White City, you'd travel eastbound on the Central Line to Liverpool Street, which takes 24 minutes. From there, you'd switch to the Circle or Hammersmith and City lines, travelling anti-clockwise for 23 minutes until you reach Wood Lane.

In total, this journey would take 47 minutes. The faster route, albeit with more changeovers, starts from White City. You'd hop on the Central Line Eastbound to Notting Hill Gate, then switch to the Circle or District line to Edgware Road.

Here, you'd transfer to a different Circ.
