Gurugram: Delhi-NCR has been grappling with a severe air pollution crisis for weeks, leaving residents struggling to breathe. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the air quality in both Delhi and Gurugram has dropped into the “severe” category, with Delhi's AQI reaching a staggering 494 and Gurugram's at 469—more than 26 times higher than the World Health Organisation's recommended limit. In the midst of this environmental emergency, Gurugram residents have shared striking images of luxury flats shrouded in thick smog, barely visible from a distance, serving as a stark reminder that even luxury comes at a steep price.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), @manujosephsan posted about this and mentioned,''The building in the smog is Camillias in Gurgaon, where air quality is officially poison. The flats cost 60 to 100 crore. There is something funny about that though I can’t put my finger on what exactly,'' in the caption.
Netizens Reaction Taking to X, one user wrote, ''Could the numerous flats with their lights off indicate that many residents have temporarily relocated from Delhi?'' Another wrote,''It's also flooded after 30 mins of rain'' A third user wrote,''Just a better view of the smog, Manu. Smogscrapers.'' ''Ha ha ha, I know, money can't buy you good air in NCR,'' another user added.
