Gearing up for the end-of-year holiday season, Thai AirAsia X will resume its popular Bangkok to Sydney route from Dec 1. Six flights a week will be operated, with two on Friday and one each day on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday. For more convenience, travellers may book FlyThru from Phuket, Krabi, Hat Yai, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai with a short stopover in Don Mueang.

The airline plans to expand the frequency of its flights to Tokyo (18 times a week), Osaka (14 times a week), Sapporo (seven times a week), Nagoya (once a week), Seoul (14 times a week) and Shanghai (seven times a week). At the final location, passengers merely need to provide their immigration clearance and pick up their luggage. Thai AirAsia X plans to expand its fleet from eight Airbus A330s to 11 by the end of the year, and will add three to five aircraft each year, depending on its anticipated growth and demand.
