Tesco urgently recalls ‘melt in middle’ burgers amid concerning ‘burn risk’

Supermarket giant Tesco issued a recall for a popular food item after it found it had a health risk to customers. The brand is recalling Tesco's own Plant Chef 2 Meat-Free Burgers with Melting Middle over concerns it may be a ‘burn risk’. The vegan item has ingredients including gherkins and mustard and has been popular among customers.

However, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) has warned that Tesco burgers “may maintain a high temperature once cooked” and, therefore, could burn customers who eat them.
