Tekla Expands ‘The Colours of Le Corbusier’ Collection With More Shades

Tekla’s fourth installment of its Le Corbusier-inspired blanket line pulls more colors from the Modernist Architect’s “architectural polychromy,” a hand-picked lexicon of harmonious colors curated between 1931 and 1959. The limited-edition line was made in direct partnership with Les Couleurs Suisse AG, the official licensor of Le Corbusier’s architectural color palette.Three new colors are included in the latest drop: Blanc is a soft off-white, Terre Sienne Brulee is a warm brown, and Vert Anglais is a light sage. Like the earlier releases from the line, the fabrics are made by Spanish artisans with the finest mohair. To achieve the luxurious fluffed finish, the blankets are extra-brushed and finished with tassels by hand. Le Corbusier’s architectural work and aesthetic philosophy is credited with pushing forth the Modernist design movement, which created the minimal geometric architectural style that is taken for granted today.
