Holidaymakers wanting to explore the stunning scenery of Switzerland can now travel from Teesside with the launch of a new charter flight. Bookings are now available for a one-off seven-night trip in June 2025 to the gorgeous Alpine destination renowned for its beautiful lakes and mountains. The charter is the only summer flight to Zurich from the North-east and provides the chance to experience some of the world’s most incredible railway journeys including the Luzern-Interlaken Express, Bernina Express and the Glacier Express.

The package – bookable exclusively through Fairs-Lloyds Travel – offers two alternative guided travel itineraries from 20 June, with direct return flights from Teesside to Zurich. The first option includes a trip on the breathtaking Luzern-Interlaken Express, with other highlights such as a day trip to Lucerne and Brunnen, including a lake cruise, and Mt Rigi, where travellers can enjoy views of the Swiss Alps. The second option features theGlacier Express from Filisur to Andermatt, a day-trip to alpine resort St Moritz and travelling on the Bernina Express.
