The dynamic duo had a 12-point deficit to overcome against Australia in the final round. But after delivering an impressive performance, they watched as the Aussie team plummeted to fifth place due to a disastrous final dive.

In a unique twist, there were no heats during the event in Paris, with selected teams diving straight into the final. Mew Jensen and Harper started strong, sitting in silver medal position after the first round, with China leading the pack. However, they slipped below the United States team after their second dive, ending up tied with Germany for the bronze medal spot.

After the third round of dives, Team GB found themselves in sixth place, leaving them with a mountain to climb. But a powerful fourth round, scoring 71.10, put them back in the running for bronze, which they clinched after Australia failed to score enough points in the final round, reports the Mirror .

China took home the gold, having dominated the leaderboard throughout the event. The United States' team of Sarah Bacon and Kassidy Cook bagged the silver medal, finish.
