Buda Mendes / Getty Images for TAS Rights Management In a news conference, Vienna State Police Director Franz Ruf and Police Chief Gerhard Purstl revealed that Vienna State Police raided the home of one of the men, a 19-year-old from Ternitz who allegedly " pledged his allegiance to ISIS ." According to the police, the bomb squad found chemical substances in his home, and investigators are actively determining if said substances could have been used to build a bomb. The two men had been radicalized online and allegedly had a specific plan to carry out the attacks.
