Taylor Swift's donation to a Cardiff food bank helped provide emergency food parcels for 925 people, the charity has revealed. The 'Eras Tour' singer delivered the donation after performing a sell-out show in the city in June. It enabled the charity to buy enough food to fill one and a half articulated lorries.

Rachel Biggs, the CEO of Cardiff Foodbank, told the BBC they are very grateful for the donation. Biggs also spoke of the growing demand faced by the charity, explaining they've purchased more than double the food they did in 2023. Rachel added: "More and more people are needing to turn to us with an increasing number of people needing our support for the first time.

" She also thanked Taylor Swift for "shining a light on the global issue of poverty". The charity has not disclosed the "generous" amount the singer donated. However, they previously shared that it was the largest donation they've received from an individual.

Earlier this summer, Biggs told the Guardian: "The breathing space Taylor’s donation has given us will enable us to lift our heads and shift our focus from the food bank to the creation of a sustainable operation supporting people who currently need our help with support to address the root cause of poverty and financial support to set them on the path to not needing our aid any more." The singer, who has donated to charities across Europe and the US during her tour, has also supported the Edinburgh Food Project and St Andrew’s Community Network in .
