The popular AFL WAG, 27, posted an image to Instagram of the damage done, lifting her shirt to reveal a graze along her spine and the beginning of a large bruise. In the caption of the painful looking photo, the former Love Island star, who is married to footy star Nathan Broad, said she hurt her 'hips, tailbone, ribs and spine'.
Tayla's first post about the incident included a photo of a heated waist belt she just received as a PR package moments before she fell down a set of stairs. 'The timing of this is impeccable. My period just graced me and I fell down a set of stairs straight onto my back half an hour ago.
So let's see how good this is,' she said. The next image she shared to her Stories revealed the extent of the injury to her back, as she wrote: 'This is what falling down a staircase looks like. 'RIP my hips, tailbone, ribs and spine.
Pain is at an all time high and have the Myer Ball tonight. If you see me limping, this is why.' Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Tayla for comment.
