Wednesday, October 2, 2024 Tampa International Airport (TPA) has been named America’s Best Large Airport for 2024 in USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. The recognition comes after a panel of industry experts and editors selected TPA as a nominee, competing against other major airports such as Nashville International Airport (BNA), Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).
In addition to this top honor, TPA was recognized as the #1 Best Airport for Dining. Its Airside C offerings, including Bavaro’s, Cigar City Brewing, and Ulele—local favorites—were ranked among the nation’s top 10 in the categories for Airport Grab-and-Go Food and Sit-Down Restaurants. This achievement follows TPA’s #2 ranking last year in the same awards, where it trailed only Indianapolis International Airport.
TPA continues to be a frequent favorite, having previously earned the #1 spot for Large Airports in the J.D. Power North America Satisfaction Study in both 2022 and 2023, and topping its size category in the 2024 Airport Service Quality Awards.
