Monday, January 27, 2025 Tampa International Airport and its tenant partners are gearing up to increase staffing for the busy Spring Break travel season with an Airport-wide Hiring Day event on Jan. 29. Approximately two dozen employers, including the Transportation Security Administration, Airborne (an aviation maintenance and repair company), and parking services provider ABM, will join retail shops, restaurants, ground handling services, and other businesses at TPA to accept applications.
Together, these employers aim to fill over 400 open positions. The Hillsborough County Aviation Authority, which oversees TPA and Hillsborough County’s three General Aviation airports, is also seeking to fill several roles for highly skilled Maintenance personnel. They are particularly interested in workers with expertise in multiple trades, such as painting, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, and more, to ensure the smooth operation of airport facilities and equipment.
The TPA Police Department will also be present at Hiring Day to discuss opportunities for certified law enforcement officers interested in joining the airport team. Some employers will conduct on-site interviews and may hire candidates immediately, so job seekers are encouraged to bring two forms of identification. The Hiring Day event will take place from 9 a.
m. to 12 p.m.
on Wednesday, Jan. 29, in the Main Terminal Event Space between the Airside E and F shuttle stations..
