Saturday, September 28, 2024 Tallink Grupp has announced an exciting new enhancement to the cruising experience on its Silja Symphony vessel. The popular Marimekko-styled Commodore Balcony cabins, known for their iconic Finnish design, are now available on the Helsinki-Stockholm route. As of this week, a dozen newly redecorated Commodore Balcony cabins on the Silja Symphony feature Marimekko’s legendary Unikko pattern across bedspreads, pillows, towels, dishes, and wallpaper.

This expansion brings the popular design collaboration, first introduced on the sister ship Silja Serenade in 2023, to a broader audience of passengers. The partnership between Tallink Silja Line and Marimekko, a beloved Finnish lifestyle brand, is rooted in a shared passion for design and comfort. Marimekko, widely recognized for its bold prints and bright colors, is a staple in Finnish homes and has garnered growing interest from international travelers across Europe and Asia.

The inclusion of Marimekko’s Unikko pattern—one of the brand’s most iconic designs—elevates the onboard experience, blending comfort and style for travelers who appreciate modern design. A Harmonized Cruise Experience Across Sister Ships With the introduction of Marimekko-themed Commodore Balcony cabins on Silja Symphony, both legendary ships on the Helsinki-Stockholm route, Silja Serenade and Silja Symphony, now offer this stylish option. This design collaboration aims to provide a harmonized and comfortable experience.
