Thursday, August 22, 2024 Sofitel Sydney Wentworth Hotel reveals its $60M renovation, blending luxury with heritage, set to reopen in October 2024 after a comprehensive ten-month transformation. The Sofitel Sydney Wentworth has recently announced a significant makeover with a budget of $60 million AUD. Scheduled for completion in October 2024 after only ten months of construction, this revamp aims to elevate the hotel’s offerings while preserving its unique, historic essence recognized globally.

The transformation encompasses a comprehensive refurbishment to boost guest experiences at this landmark hotel, which has been a staple of Sydney’s urban scene since its establishment as the Wentworth Hotel in 1966. Situated just steps from major Australian landmarks like the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House, the luxury hotel has welcomed international visitors since its early days. The refurbishment project, led by the architectural and interior design firm Fender Katsalidis, includes the modernization of 436 guest rooms and suites.

These enhancements are designed to offer a mix of luxury and comfort, along with a redesign of the public areas and a grand, welcoming lobby entrance featuring vibrant, eye-catching elements. Additional new features of the hotel include a Health & Wellness Studio with a fully equipped gym, and an exclusive club lounge for existing members and day pass holders to relax, entertain, and work. The five-star hotel is also revolutionizing it.
