Ahmedabad: On Saturday, a woman bought 3kg of pedas (a sweet) from a shop in Paldi for Rakshabandhan. When she opened the packets on Monday, the day of Rakshabandhan, she found that the sweets had fungus on them. She then lodged a complaint with the health department of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.

The health department has begun an investigation into the matter. The woman also recorded a video of the fungus-covered pedas bought from the shop and posted it on social media. She had paid Rs 2,460 for 3kg of pedas and is now demanding action against the shopkeeper.
