Prayagraj : The Mela administration will be appointing 1,800 ‘ Swachhagrahis ' at the Maha Kumbh campus. The ‘Swachhagrahis' will not only try to keep the fair clean but will also motivate the visiting devotees to maintain cleanliness . The mela administration is going to recruit them through a proper interview and has also issued the selection conditions for the appointment of Swachhagrahis.

Appointment to this post will be done only when the person knows how to establish community coordination along with crowd management. The age limit should be between 18 to 50 years. Preference will be given in the interview to those who have experience of large religious events or cultural gatherings like Kumbh Mela and Magh Mela before this.

District Panchayat Raj Officer Ravi Shankar Dwivedi said that it is not easy to motivate millions of devotees coming to the fair for cleanliness. This is the reason why we want to present an example of cleanliness to the whole world. For this, the help of Swachhagrahis has to be taken.

The interview for this post is to be organised in Vikas Bhavan between Oct 3 and 5. Candidates can contact room number ten of Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin located on the ground floor of Vikas Bhavan for information related to the application. In the months of November and December, road shows will be organised in major cities of the country, including Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Kolkata, and Bangalore, for extensive publicity of Maha Kumbh.
