Suspects identified in fatal Natchitoches shooting

NATCHITOCHES, La. – Natchitoches police have identified suspects wanted in the shooting death earlier this week of a 17-year-old. Arrest warrants have been issued for Alasia Lashay Hamilton, 20, and Jody Hamilton, 16, both of Natchitoches.

Both are wanted for second-degree murder. They are accused in the shooting death of Matthew Daniels, 17. The shooting happened Tuesday night in the 800 block of July Street.

Officers responded to a shots fired call and were told the Daniels had already been taken to the hospital, where he later died. Police say all tips will remain confidential. Call Natchitoches Crime Stoppers at (318) 238-2388.
